Monk allows you to easily see how scales and chords are composed and it also has support for modes, making it easier to find relative scales. Discover new scales and chords with Monk's extensive library and transpose quickly any scale or chord.
Find any Scale or Chord by selecting specific notes. You will be able to select a specific accuracy to filter the search results and even select which note is the root of the scale or chord you're searching. Once found, play the scale or chord and listen to it.
Monk lets you play all the notes in its multitouch keyboard. Enjoy some improvisation time! Plus, Monk offers you support for up to 5 chord inversions.

We will never (and will not allow any third party to) use the statistical analytics tool to track or to collect any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) of visitors to our site. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. Neither we nor Google will link, or seek to link, an IP address with the identity of a computer user. We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any Personally Identifiable Information from any source, unless you explicitly submit that information via a fill-in form on our app.
On the other hand, some versions of Monk may demand your Live ID if you want to migrate to newer versions. This ID is stored in our servers in Germany which follow all the European laws regarding internet security. Take into account that delivering your Live ID to Monk is fully optional are you are not forced to do so in any moment. Anyway, if you decide that you don’t want us to have this information you can contact us and we will personally delete this information.
